Wahai manusia, apakah yang telah memperdayakanmu berbuat durhaka terhadap Tuhanmu Yang Mahamulia, الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰىكَ فَعَدَلَكَۙ Allażī khalaqaka fa sawwāka fa adalaka. yang telah menciptakanmu lalu menyempurnakan kejadianmu dan menjadikan susunan tubuh-mu seimbang? فِيْٓ اَيِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَاۤءَ رَكَّبَكَۗ Fī ayyi ṣūratim mā syā'a rakkabaka. Dalam bentuk apa saja yang dikehendaki, Dia menyusun tubuh-mu. كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّيْنِۙ Kallā bal tukażżibūna bid-dīni. Jangan sekali-kali begitu! Bahkan, kamu mendustakan hari Pembalasan. وَاِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحٰفِظِيْنَۙ Wa inna alaikum laḥāfiẓīna. Sesungguhnya bagi kamu ada malaikat-malaikat pengawas كِرَامًا كٰتِبِيْنَۙ Kirāman kātibīna. yang mulia di sisi Allah dan mencatat amal perbuatanmu. يَعْلَمُوْنَ مَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ Yalamūna mā tafalūna. Mereka mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan. اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِيْ نَعِيْمٍۙ Innal-abrāra lafī naīmin. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang berbakti benar-benar berada dalam surga yang penuh kenikmatan. وَّاِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِيْ جَحِيْمٍ Wa innal-fujjāra lafī jaḥīmin. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang durhaka benar-benar berada dalam neraka Jahim. يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ Yaṣlaunahā yaumad-dīni. Mereka memasukinya pada hari Pembalasan. وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَاۤىِٕبِيْنَۗ Wa mā hum anhā bigā'ibīna. What has deceived you about your generous Lord" ” — Qur'an 826 It is mentioned in Tafsir-i nimuna that the goal of this verse is eliminating the excessive pride of human beings and waking them up from negligence.[6] In Nahj al-balagha, there is a sermon about this verse. There, Imam Ali a addresses human being and criticizes about why the man finds the boldness to sin and becomes proud and that he is not aware of this pain of his at all; while he is worried about others in many hardships?! He wonders how the fear about the unexpected wrath of God does not wake him up of this negligence and how, with all his weaknesses, he dares to sin against his Lord, Who is All-Generous and has never withdrawn His servants from His grace and not even for a moment has deprived him of His mercy.[7] Merits and Benefits In Majma' al-bayan, it is narrated from the Prophet s that whoever recites Sura al-Infitar, God will give him rewards equal to the number of all graves and ten times more than the number of raindrops and snowflakes.[8] Also, it is narrated from the Prophet s that anyone wishes to look at me on the Day of Judgment as if seen by his physical eyes, should recite suras Qur'an 81, Qur'an 82 and Qur'an 84.[9] In a hadith, al-Shaykh al-Saduq transmitted from Imam al-Sadiq a that whoever recites Sura al-Infitar in his obligatory or recommended prayers, God will fulfill his requests and wishes and there will be no veil between him and God; and God will always look at him with mercy until the reckoning of people finishes.[10] It is mentioned in hadith references that reciting this sura has benefits such as release from prison, being away from scandal on the Day of Judgment, strengthening the eyesight and healing eye pains.[11] External Links Audio playback of the Sura Notes References إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْArab-Latin iżas-samā`unfaṭaratArtinya 1.
